This painting is the first piece that I have painted following a 6 month break from the studio.

It is the first painting that I have created, born from a place of creating for the joy of creating! I feel that this particular painting encapsulates exactly the energy that it was painted in.

The reference photo for the beach background was taken early in the morning while walking my dog at my home beach and the silver metallic balloon dog featurd seems to me, to absolutely embody that early morning Australian vibe that you feel of the beach. A moment before the crowds have awoken and one is full of potential, excitement and a whiff of suncream and salty air. 

All alone, but full of joy.
